William “Bill” Lowman
William “Bill” Lowman passed peacefully in his home in Jupiter, Florida, surrounded by his family, on January 20, 2018. He was 73. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Lowman, daughters Tracy and Christy Lowman, and grandsons Shanti Gosman and Jackson and Carter Rowland and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Frank Lowman, Tom Lowman, and Edward Lowman.
Bill was born to William and Mary Lowman, in Newton, Kansas, on February 21, 1944. He grew up in Manhattan, Kansas and graduated from Kansas State University in 1967. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve and was honorably discharged in 1972. Bill’s business career began immediately after college as a stock broker for Edward Jones Company, members of the New York Stock Exchange. Recruited by the Kaiser Gypsum and Cement Company, he joined their San Francisco sales team. After three years in California, he joined CYRO Industries, a subsidiary of American Cyanamid. CYRO was an acrylics plastics manufacturer with annual sales of $300 million dollars. He spent 32 years in various sales and marketing positions with CYRO, rising to the rank of President and CEO. He retired from the company in November 2004.
Bill maintained a lifelong love of golf, fishing, and all things K State. He will be remembered as a true gentleman with a kind heart and a quick wit. He will be missed by many.
